Leadership Coaching

1. Assess: Interviews with 4-10 colleagues and the coaching client's boss help the Threshold coach to clearly identify coaching priorities:

  • What are the coaching clients strengths and weaknesses?
  • What qualities need to be developed for ultimate success?
  • Are there interpersonal issues or group dynamics that get in the way of the work flow?

2. Translate: From the interviews, we translate development areas into targeted performance goals that are SMART.

3. Plan: An action plan is put in place that is results driven and specific about behavioral changes and skill building necessary to achieve goals.

4. Practice: New skills in communication, conflict management, negotiation, strategic thinking and team building are practiced in coaching sessions and on the job.

5. Measure: The Threshold coach keeps the boss and other stakeholders in the loop to gauge success through the interactions and new leadership skills that improve and become evident over a 3-6 month time frame.
